The Healing Power of Jesus Christ

Hello everyone! Today I’d like to discuss with you the “The Healing Power of Jesus Christ”. Mental illness is great throughout the land today. There are those who are depressed, and feel overwhelmed with everyday life. Some are consumed with grief, financial hardships, abusive relationships and so much more. Feeling overwhelmed can help create a sense of helplessness and what seems to be nowhere to turn. Peace is available to all who call on and turn to Jesus the Christ, repent for their sins and turn from their evil ways. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and a Healer.

Lunatick (lunatic), Lunatic is an antiquated term referring to a person who is seen as mentally ill, dangerous, foolish, or crazy—conditions once attributed to “lunacy.” The word derives from lunaticus meaning “of the moon” or “moonstruck”. The term was once commonly used in law.

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6-7

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. Matthew 4:23-24

Followers of Jesus Christ have access to the Prince of Peace and Healer of our Souls at all times. All we have to do use what is available to us. I have heard many say that everyone has a breaking point. Yet, the word of God says, 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39″

I am a living testimony of the healing power of Jesus Christ. When I was a teenager and for many years I experienced deep depression and thoughts of suicide. Jesus Christ is now my Prince of Peace, I’m still here encouraged. I must believe that no matter what comes I have the victory through Christ Jesus who strengthens me! I’ve gone through some very dark times but I know that my redeemer lives and he sends me his peace, joy, love and so much more that sustains and keeps me from day to day!

AMEN!
