Hello everyone! Today I’d like to share a short story about hearing and listening to the Holy Spirit when he speaks. God is a faithful God. I’m thankful to the Lord God Almighty, my Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit (Ghost) the Spirit of truth.
We often look for the great big signs and wonders but the small things matter greatly. The small things are appreciated and I’m at awe when he speaks a word to me. The small things are magnificent, absolutely soul uplifting, encouraging and inspiring.
Earlier this week my household received our monthly newsletter from the apartment complex. There was a notice in the newsletter referring to days and times maintenance would be entering apartments. This maintenance and the days and times could not be rescheduled. It can be a little uncomfortable knowing that for 2 days and around 8 hours each day someone could knock on your door to enter. I wondered would it be a very inconvenient time that they would knock. I was feeling a bit uneasy, such a small thing right?
This morning I heard a voice, the Holy Spirit say that the maintenance workers would start at the top at my building and work their way down. I’m on the 3rd floor. Promptly at 9am their start time, I heard a knock on the door. It was maintenance. They entered did what they had to do and it was over. We were one of the first knocks on the door. God is faithful and I was pretty ready to receive them. What a relief and it happened just as the Holy Spirit spoke and said it would. They were covering the entire 3rd floor and working their way down from the top floor! Thank you Lord! God is good!
We should be ever ready to not only hear what the Holy Spirit speaks to us but to hearken to what he speaks as well! God Bless You!
