“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.” Acts 4:32-35 KJV
It often amazes me how so many that say they are followers of Jesus Christ have great difficulty in being generous or showing kindness to their brothers and sister in Christ Jesus or to anyone. People of God are generous and kind, we inherited our kindness from our God and Almighty Father in heaven. He is the master of kindness, it is exemplified in that he gave his only begotten son Christ Jesus to be crucified for us, for you and for me! Yet we who say we have his spirit, the Holy Spirit struggle with feeding those who are hungry, clothing those who need clothes or helping to find shelter for those who are homeless. Many of us have difficulty simply being kind, showing kindness to our neighbors.
How completely unbalanced it is for the so called Spiritual Leaders to have much?!? Those who have much hold onto it for dear life and strive to get more while their brothers and sisters that they see quite often are obviously lacking. There is much selfish and sinful justification going on and God is not pleased. If you know to do better and do it not, to you it is sin!
My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus examine yourselves to see if you be in the faith. Repent and do what is pleasing to God, for what does it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your own soul?!? Be diligent in this correction for the Lord has need of you!
