Hello everyone! The Poor are throughout the world. There are the Poor who aren’t necessarily in need. The world places its economic status on your yearly income. Some are considered poor but have shelter, clothing, transportation and enough food to eat. Though they may be considered poor they are not in need to survive. They are not poverty-stricken, there is a difference.
Just because you are considered economically poor doesn’t mean that you should take advantage of every offer of help. If you don’t need food don’t take the food. Someone else needs it to survive and needs it much more than you. You could literally be taking food out of their mouths. If you are offered help and don’t need the help, it is your responsibility to refuse the help! Taking what you don’t need puts you in the position of being selfish and greedy. Now you have plenty and someone else has nothing.
If someone gives you money for a bill and you receive a check the next day that covers that bill and much more. It is your responsibility to give that money back. The money was given to assist you but you no longer need the assistance. Do the right thing and give the money back and giving the money back isn’t a donation. You’re returning the money because you don’t need it and it’s the proper thing to do! That money can now be used to help someone truly in need!
There are many who take advantage of those who help the poor or those in need. If you’re professing to be a Saint of God you need to consider your ways, repent and stop taking what you don’t need. It’s wrong to do so! Don’t you know God could be allowing you to be in such situations for you to do the right thing? God is faithful and you have not heeded to his voice to do that which is right. Saints we are to examine ourselves daily. Do the right thing! Do what pleases God!
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35 KJV
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17 KJV
A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. Proverbs 28:3 KJV
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 1 Corinthians 13:5 KJV
