A Special Gift

A Special Gift

Every day is a special gift

Ready to be opened up

Every day is another chance

To correct the mistakes we make

I thank you for these chances

I thank you for these gifts

Because without these chances there would be no hope

You bring me hope to carry on

And peace to soothe my weary soul

You bring me joy when I feel sadness

And love and faith and happiness

I never thought I’d feel this way

You’ve given me so much

That I know I don’t deserve

I’m indebted to you for everything

Indebted to you for my many gifts

The chances you give are wonderful

They show your grace and mercy

Your love for us in spite of what we do

A Special gift

I thank you for these special gifts

I thank you for these chances

Because these chances bring me hope

That I will receive gifts eternally

From high above

And experience perfect joy

My soul clings to this thought

Of the pleasure of receiving these gifts daily

Each gift is different

Some seem wonderful and some seem awful

But every one is glorious

Because it comes from high above

Therefore I thank the Lord!

I thank Him for these gifts!

Because He give me enough gifts

Through His grace and mercy

To allow me to reach the highest of places!

I must open these gifts carefully

And appreciate and savor each one

Because I may not get another gift ever again

Don’t throw away these precious gifts!

I appreciate each and every glorious day

Because I know they are from my Father

Each day is a wonderful gift

From my wonderful Father

Thank you for each day!

Each beautiful day!

Because you gave them to me

And they are special to me

My soul forever thanks you

For these precious gifts!

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” James 1:17 KJV
