For Many are Called, Few are Chosen

Hello everyone! In my studies I recently came across this scripture. “For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14 NKJV I have often wondered what exactly this verse meant. Called is to be chosen, right? Call defined is to request or command to come; to ask or invite to come. To order into effect, decree. The word chosen is a past participle of the word choose. Choose defined, to prefer or decide (to do something): to want; desire. To make a choice. To incline.

The call is great! Few have chosen to heed the call! I understand now, thank you Lord for teaching me by your precious Holy Ghost! Truly God is Faithful! The Chosen of God are those who have made the choice to answer the call! Those who Believe on Jesus Christ and Follow his commandments! Hallelujah! False brethren, called and have chosen to go their own way. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ⁸ ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. ⁹ And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ Matthew 15:7-9 NKJV

For Many are Called, Few are Chosen: The False Brethren

The Institutional Church is filled with False Brethren. They water down the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all kinds of doctrines and commandments of men. False Brethren taking on the role as Spiritual Leaders. Being blind themselves leading congregations that are blind as well. The Blind leading the blind. Megachurch leaders and their membership is greatly False Brethren.

They fight against the true Followers of Jesus Christ. Many are constantly practicing sin. The cares and standards of this world have them overwhelmed. Desperately seeking, financial success, material gain and higher education. Lovers of the American Dream. Deceivers of man because they don’t have the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And proclaiming a weak watered down imitation of the Holiness and Power of Almighty God. Because many are called but few are chosen.

False Brethren professing Salvation. They sit on the couch of a Therapist. They refuse to obey the word of God. Traumatized by hardship and daily life in the world, bound and tied up on every side. They don’t know Freedom of the Mind. Their soul is captive. Their hearts corrupted by the love of the world.

The Answer is in Jesus Christ

³¹ Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” ³⁴ Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. ³⁵ And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. ³⁶ Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:31-36 NKJV
