The Poor in Spirit

Hello everyone! The Poor in Spirit. Many define the poor in spirit as those who are classified with Mental Illness, Homeless and Financially Challenged. The definition will vary with each individual response. The Poor in Spirit are all over the world within any educational, mental and financial status. They do not have God. They are the unsaved, unredeemed and the unregenerate in the world. Their Sin has separated them from God.

The Holy Spirit

Some teach that the Poor in Spirit are the redeemed. How can we be when we possess the Holy Spirit? The Father and Son dwell in us. Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:23-24 NKJV

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit. Because they are in a great position to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Separation from God makes them Poor in Spirit. They are without the Holy Spirit. Without Hope in the world. If they would humble themselves. Repent of their sins and turn from their wicked ways. Believing on Jesus the Christ, Son of the Most High God! They shall be saved.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 NKJV

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15 NKJV

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, 3 And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south. Psalms 107:1-3 NKJV
