Glory to God

Glory to God. I have to testify of the goodness of God. He has been so good to me. His love and mercy blow me away. I have struggled for so many years spiritually. It has completely been my fault. I never did the work. I didn’t fight for my salvation. Salvation is given freely but that doesn’t mean you don’t have to put in work. Dictionary.com defines sanctify as to make holy, set apart as sacred; consecrate. I had never allowed myself to go through the process of sanctification.

I had been lazy with my salvation and that is what caused me so many problems. Salvation takes work. Every day we must fight because temptation is everywhere. We are fighting to do what we know is right. I had heard these things many times but it was not clicking. Finally I understood what this meant. We must examine ourselves to see where we are lacking.

I have been passive for many years. Enough of that! Where has being passive gotten me besides being walked all over? Jesus was not passive and He is my example. I need to be like Him. This is part of my sanctification. I need to be bold and speak up for myself. I thank God for showing me this. He is showing me areas that need work.

I give God the glory. I am finally seeing. He has a work for me to do. He has been so merciful to me. I could be in hell right now. But God has shown patience with me and great love. He let me live! I am writing this through tears of gratitude. Glory to God!

God be Glorified

I wrote this so someone can learn from my mistakes. Don’t learn the hard way as I have done. It has cost me a lot through the years.

“16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 KJV
