The Cult: Tithes & Offering

Hello everyone! The Cult: Tithes & Offering. Most Institutions and Organized Clubs have membership fees. The Institutionalized Church is no different. You are required to pay 10% of your income and a offering to these organizations. The Cult was no different in this aspect. We were constantly told that it was not a money ministry. If you failed to pay your Tithes & Offering you were not allowed to participate in outreach ministries, or do a work within that organization.

Many Charismatic leaders misuse the scriptures for their own gain and purposes. They go to the Old Testament and focus on Malachi. 8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Malachi 3:8-9 NKJV

The Storehouse

The Cult: Tithes & Offering. Malachi Chapter 3 is in reference to the Levitical Priesthood. The Tithes & Offerings were crops, and or animals. The Priesthood was a full time job serving the people. They didn’t raise crops or animals. They ministered to the children of Israel and the children of Israel were directed by God to bring their Tithes & Offerings to the storehouse. The Temple was the storehouse. The Levitical priest lived in the temple. The priests needed food. Under the New Covenant the Temple is our bodies. Charismatic Leaders are living lavish lives on the monies of the members. It doesn’t matter if the members are poor and struggling. They require everyone to pay Tithes & or Offering.

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10 NKJV

Money

The Cult: Tithes & Offerings, the Poor

Many organizations will not help members or anyone in financial need. They spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on remodeling their building. Do you really think God cares if the building has an arched ceiling? God is concerned about the people, the souls and their well being. This Charismatic leader valued brick and mortar above the members. Is this the spirit of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ? Absolutely not! Living in nice homes, driving nice cars with plenty of money in the bank. Yet many poor members don’t have nice homes, a car or a bank account.

Standing poor members in front of the congregation in humiliation. And praying for a spirit of poverty. This is a shame! It is not a sin, punishment or a embarrassment to be poor. There are many hard working poor individuals and families. Tithes & Offering was under Mosaic Law. We are not required to pay 10% of our income! What we do as men and women of God is cheerfully give offerings; that’s how we give. We donate to charities. We show kindness to everyone and give to the poor. No man should be using the word of God to coerce and guilt people into giving 10% of their income. Telling the people that God will curse them if they don’t give their money. Making Tithes & Offering a Blessing if they pay.

6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NKJV
