The Importance of Prayer

The Importance of Prayer. According to Wikipedia.org prayer is a communication to God. Prayer can be spoken or silent. It is important that we pray throughout the day. We use prayer to praise Him, for repentance, to let out feelings, and to ask for help. It is simply talking to God. We pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ who died for our sins.

The Importance of Prayer, Healing

Prayer can be used for healing. We all have areas that need work in our lives and praying will help. Venting and letting out your feelings is vitally important. Praying gets rid of any garbage and baggage that is in our hearts. We can let go of those feelings and start the healing process.

The Importance of Prayer. By continuously praying we are establishing a relationship with God and Jesus Christ. We talk to them and we will also be spoken to through the Holy Ghost. We need to praise Him for all He has done for us. Jesus suffered and died for us. We can praise all day long and that won’t be nearly enough. An attitude of gratitude is necessary. We also pray for ourselves and others. We submit requests unto God in the name of Christ Jesus. Prayer allows us to focus on the things above and not be so focused on ourselves.

4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. Acts 6:4 KJV

9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another; 11  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Romans 12:9 – 12 KJV

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 KJV
