Outside Noise

Hello everyone! Outside Noise. Outside refers to external or exterior. Dictionary.com defines Noise as sound, especially of a loud, harsh, or confused kind. Extraneous, irrelevant, or meaningless facts, information, statistics, etc. This definition is precisely what I was looking to find.

These days I tend to realize that outside noise is a constant in my life. It is interference or a distraction. Whether I’m having a meaningful business conversation or spiritual conversation. Outside noise will find its way into the conversation. The problem is that it doesn’t belong inside, its place is always outside.

Lately I don’t hesitate to say hey, this is outside noise. This comment is meant to help me and others realize we are getting off topic. Outside noise will kill progress. It is meaningless interference and it has to be cut off in its tracks.

There are those who have allowed outside noise into their lives so much it has become a norm. Communicating with these people can seem difficult or cumbersome at times. Because constant reminders are needed to get back on track and stay on track.

Do Not Let Outside Noise Inside

I’m guilty of allowing outside noise inside where it doesn’t belong. When I realize the distraction is there I do my very best to correct it immediately. Hopefully without offence. Some people are easily offended. When pointing out that a conversation has become noisy and needs to get back on track. It’s not personal. At my age I don’t have the mindset, memory, energy or time to give nonsense and the meaningless room in my life. I have to stay focused. So I can retain the things that are important and need my attention.

God is Blessing in my life. He’s opening up new opportunities both natural and spiritual. Staying focused is very important in our lives, Saints of the Most High God.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
